Your gift stays right here on the island. Donations fund our native reforestation projects, predator-free initiatives, and the ongoing maintenance of our heritage buildings. Every dollar helps ensure the island remains a sanctuary for wildlife and a place for the community to connect.

Yes, we often do! From building materials and tools to native seedlings, physical gifts can be incredibly helpful. Since we are on an island, logistics can be tricky, so please contact us first to see if your item matches our current needs.

Yes, this is a beautiful way to celebrate a loved one. You can make a donation in someone’s name, or even sponsor a specific project (like a grove of trees or bench seat) as a living memorial. Please let us know if you would like us to acknowledge the gift with a special note. Donations of $2000 or more may receive a memorial plaque on our jetty.

Leaving a legacy is one of the most impactful ways to support the island’s future. By bequeathing a gift to the Trust, you ensure that Kamau Taurua remains protected and flourishing long after your lifetime.
Simple to do: You can add a "codicil" to your existing will or include the Trust in a new one.
Flexible: You can leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residue of your estate.
Contact us: If you are considering a bequest, we would be honoured to have a confidential chat with you about how your gift can best serve the island.
